You just received your Sutro package (or you're just curious to see what you'll get when you order Sutro)! What does it come with?
The Box
Firstly, you should have received a box that looks like this - if you didn't you probably have another product and may want be in another support / help center.
Monitor
The monitor is the large device that floats in your pool. This will stay in your pool and continuously take chemistry and temperature readings.
Hub
The hub acts as a bridge between your pool and the cloud. It stays inside the home connected to WiFi and receives the readings from the monitor and sends it to the cloud, and also takes instructions from the cloud to send to your monitor.
The hub is also a battery charger. Push on the dent on the top of the lid to open it. You can insert the battery here to charge it.

Batteries
Each Sutro device comes with two batteries. One goes inside the floating monitor, and the other to charge in the meantime. Make sure that at least one battery is fully charged before installing your device. Each battery lasts approximately 30 days, and will need to be changed regularly.
Power adapter
The power adapter connects the hub to your electrical outlet. The hub must be plugged in at all times.
Cartridge
The test cartridge will be installed in the monitor during onboarding. It contains reagents that the monitor uses to take readings. The cartridge lasts approximately 30 days and will need to be changed regularly. You can visit this article on instructions on how to change a cartridge and battery to find out how to replace these, they should always be replaced at the same time.
The cartridge will also make a rattling noise when shaken. This is due to the mixing balls. You can find more information on how this works this article: Why does the Sutro Test Cartridge rattle when I shake it?
Owner's manual
Lastly, the owner's manual will go into more detail on how to set up and maintain your device.
Great! Now that we know what each component is, let's get set up!
