Sutro measures pH, free chlorine or bromine, and total alkalinity. In the chemical menu in the Sutro App, the preferred chemicals to adjust pH, chlorine, bromine, and total alkalinity can be selected.
There is also the option to scan the barcode of your chemicals that fall into 5 categories. Primary sanitizer, secondary sanitizer, pH increaser, pH decreaser, and alkalinity increaser.*
If you would like to get started quickly and fill out the details later, Sutro has an option to use the default chemicals for recommendations.
These include:
- Primary sanitizer - chlorine tablets
- Secondary sanitizer - liquid chlorine
- pH increaser - sodium carbonate
- pH decreaser - sodium bisulfate (dry acid)
- Alkalinity increaser - sodium bicarbonate
The Sutro defaults are based on the most commonly used products in the industry and based on their active ingredients.
Not to worry, the preferred chemicals can be changed at any time. The recommendation in the App will update after the next measurement.
*If your preferred chemical is not available in the App, let us know! We will continue expanding the chemical library and adding support.
