How long does the Sutro test cartridge last?
The Sutro cartridge has 90 tests available, and since it tests 3 times per day - it will last for roughly one month!
Can I use old cartridges? (by date)
We recommend not using cartridges older than 3 months, expired cartridges will provide inaccurate readings! If you don't have a good cartridge handy, send us an email and we will get you hooked up with one!
Regarding the expiration of the cartridges, please look at the bottom side of the box it came in and there will be a date printed. This is the date your cartridge was filled and packed!
Date Format: mm/dd/yyyy
NOTE: If your cartridge does not have a date, it was manufactured prior to February 2023 and should not be used in the device.
Can I use old cartridges? (previously used)
Shortly put, no.
Expired cartridges or previously used cartridges cannot be reused once they've been placed into the Sutro Monitor! Doing so will result in inaccurate readings and possible damage to the Sutro Monitor.
In any case where you may need to change your cartridge and you do not have a new one on hand, please reach out to our team and we'd love to send a new one!
Can I exchange or return old cartridges?
Unfortunately, we do not exchange cartridges and we cannot use them if they're expired. If you end up with expired cartridges, please toss them and reach out to our Support team! As long as your paying for the monthly subscription, we can have a new cartridge shipped ASAP.
Additionally, we do not offer any type of free credit for expired cartridges.
The cartridge cost is covered by the monthly subscription fee that also covers your readings, app access and Tech Support as well.
If the cartridge is not used within 3 months of the date printed on the box we would highly advise that you dispose of them and we will get you covered with new ones.
